how would i go about thinning my neck

    i wouldnt recommend trying to think your neck.you cant make it all tht thinner, because then you'd be shaving off the fret board wouldnt you?
    i guess you could make it shallower if thats what you mean.

    I agree. You might also run into the truss rod channel in the back of the neck, leaving a hole in the neck. If you do shave down the neck, be really careful.

    No, you shave from the back of the neck.

    But you have to know where the truss rod is, and thin necks generally have extra reinforcement, like carbon graphite bars.

    Thinner and shallower are the same thing, but maybe you were thinking narrower. That's not hard to do either.
