How would you feel about retiring outside of your native country ?
It's a dream of mine. I would love to live in South Africa, although it has a pretty high crime rate, it the prettiest place I have been in my life, and the weather is perfect.
Scotland, Edinburgh to be exact.
If it weren't for family and respecting the fact they will need me when they are older I would already be there.
I don't have a native country. Parents came from Poland, I was born in Greece, and live in the US. I could live or retire anywhere and be happy.
Forget retiring, I'd be happy to just move to Canada.
I had a lot of fun there.
Hmmm, well, hmmm, what do you consider native?
It wouldn't bother me.
I have no desire to.
The country you were born in.
Then sure, seeing as I only spent 3 months in Greece.
Ok, then, I have no choice but to do so...
Unless your forces kidnap me and bring me back... and Russia becomes Soviet Union again...
He can make it happen you know?
I wouldn't mind leaving I'd just have to be in a big city where everything is close.
Went on vacation in Aruba once. Best place I've ever been to. Very seriously did not want to leave. Liked it better than Hawaii. I am seriously considering retiring there. But, that is a long ways off.
Hence me never saying anything bad about Kevinoff.
I fear comrade Kevinoff.
i plan on having a house in the UK, i hope for the states too, and of course here in canada.
yes i know, screw off.
this thread was totally my idea. theif.
I was born in ireland, will probably retire in the u.s. Tennessee is next on my move list. Honduras was beautiful, so if it were to be a third world country it would be there. tegucigalpa was an amazing place.
ditto, edinburough (sp?) is awesome. i'm gonna try and move there when i'm done with the army, at least for a few years...don't know what i'll do there though.
Get really, really drunk.
of course! i should just become a bass playing bartender.
