Sometime in the future I’ll pick up a broughton.
How do you all add them to your chain?
    1) through fx send/return?
    2) in front of amp and after bass?
    3) in front of DI/preamp and after bass?
    4) in front of amp and after DI/preamp?

    Bueller?

  3. Mine is the first link in the chain. I find it balances the signal before it goes through all the other pedals.

Personally I like HPF at the start of the chain, and LPF at the end of the chain.
But HPF is nice at the end of the chain, too, and I sometimes get an "LPF at the start of the chain" type of sound by using the Tone knob on my passive basses. ;)

Thanks guys, for the replies. I had hoped to hear some more comments relating to the votes and thought there’d be more response. Maybe people are burned out on the topic.

I just wanted to hear some more ideas of where to use it and why they’re adding it in a particular spot. I genuinely don’t know what works and why.

At any rate, thanks for the input.

    Peace,
