SOLD! FS, one of the finest examples of the H&K Blues Master you'll ever find. This unit is very clean, has barely any wear, and sounds perfect. Fat, warm, thick tone and very low noise, perfect for recording. I upgraded it with Genelec reissue Gold Lion tubes (EL84 and ECC81) and heat-dispersing fin sleeves to extend the life of the tubes. It even comes with the original box, manual, and unused pink H&K sticker! I'll also throw in a GT EL84 and an EH 12AX7 if you like, but the Genelecs are the bomb. For those not yet familiar, the Blues Master (also sold as the Crunch Master) is a preamp that contains a low-wattage tube power amp with a dummy load and and output transformer, so it is designed to be like having a full tube amp in a small package, without needing an external cab. It can be used in line before any amp or power amp, or direct to any mixer or recording setup. It has multiple outputs for different types of connections. It also has a simple 3-band EQ; for your reference, "flat" is with Low at 3:00, Mid at maximum, and high at 9:00. It has an attached AC power cord. Made in West Germany in 1989! Price is $350 including postage within the lower 48 US. I'll ship anywhere else as well, but postage will be higher. Let me know if you have any questions! Not really looking for any trades at this time; however the main reason I'm selling it is to fund a cast bronze snare drum I'm GASsing for, so if you have one of those, or maybe a cast aluminum one, we can talk.
Excellent! Deep and fat. The one limitation is the EQ--with the low knob "flat" at 3:00, you only have a little room for boosting the lows further. But in that 3-to-max knob range, the lows are not cut at all, and sound great.
