I need a little advice on a problem I am having. First of all, I play a Sadowsky 5 through a Demeter HBP-1, i also play an upright bass through the same system. My current gig is a house gig 50 weeks a year, My signal is split three ways. Recording studio, live, and monitors(in ear monitors). When my upright is pluged into my Demeter my signal is clean both in the ears and house however when I plug my Sadowsky into my preamp I get a high frequence hum. When I have subs fill in for me they also get the same hum. I know it is not the bass, it is the environment. I tried the ebtech hum elininator and it did not work, actually it made it noiser.
If I plug my bass directly in a DI(countryman) my signal is clean. Obviously the problem is when I plug an active bass in a preamp. I have tried other pre;s and they hum as well. Does anybody have any advice or tricks I can try.

    Thanks
