The rig: Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 -> Audiokinesis TC115 No issues ever, and now all of a sudden there's this hum/rustling coming out of the speaker and especially the horn. It's still there when the amp is in "mute" mode, and disappears only when the volume is all the way off. Odd thing is: everything works fine for 5-10 min when I switch the amp on, and then gradually the noise appears. What could be the issue? I'm not much of an amp/cab specialist, therefore the layman question: can it be the preamp tube? Time to change it? Any thoughts? Thanks
Well, it can't possibly be the speaker, which makes the troubleshooting a whole lot simpler. There are quite a few possibilities with your amp, possibly the tube but not all that likely. I have a flat rate service program for the GB amps, PM me and I can get you the information.
