Hi, Which is more versatile? I really like the Delano pickups, but I like Lakland's, too. I still haven't tried the BaseX, though . -Roy
Define "versatile", and what type of music will you most likely play on it? I haven't tried a Human Base, but I know it's hard to go wrong with a 55-02
Panda, panda, panda - You're obsessed with these Human Base's Don't worry, I may not be into them as much, but I've been having lengthy dreams and talks with Chris Stambaugh about a Glockenklang preamp and 3 Delano pups myself
It's actually been a week ;-). It's the Delano's and the body shape that's having me come back. I might not like it if I find another bass that sounds as good as it
What about build quality, the Human has great build quality like how deep the bolt-on neck goes into the body cavity, the zero fret, I guess the overall quality of fit and finish. I have played both, could have bought either, I own the Human
I'd say human base anyday, anytime, if lakland is the alternative. I have not tried the us made human base instruments though. The original german made ones are absolutely first rate.
Wow, those US HB models look a lot more... traditional than the German ones. http://www.humanbase.de/content/framesE.htm
Someone just bought one and it wasn't you http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5909000&posted=1#post5909000
Well, I've found my way into three people's sigs in two nights, and I'm considering ordering a bass with Delano's and a Glockenklang pre, it sounds so gooood. I feel your pain brothaman.
