    Hi!

I can't decide wich bass I should buy. But I've narrowed down the selectioin to two basses: Warwick Corvette Std with passive single coils and active Basslines 3-way electronics, and Warwick FNA. That means that it's only a pickup question. The FNA has a humbucker, and the Vette singlecoils....

I have tried the FNA Jazzman, and liked that warm, soft tone, but it has a single coil pickup too, something that the FNA misses. Will the tone be very different?

Also, the FNA has a flamed maple top.....

Is this a "Basses" thread??? Hmmmmm......

    Custom job = $ I don't have.

The vette STD I tried today sounded like **** to me!! The FNA Jazzman's tone was like heaven.....

You can change some Humbuckers to single coil
    but not the other way..

  5. are you sure they are regular single coils? the warwick streamer stage II, for example, has single coils that are double/reverse wound or something like that so that each one acts like a humbucker. email dana b. goods and see if the bass you want has these pups.
