i am installing a Glockenklang 2 band preamp in a bass with 2 humbucker pickups
The pickups have a ground wire and a set of 2 hot wires
The 2 hots are wrapped in one sleeve with one wire being the main wire and the other looks to be secondary
They were wired , one to volume , the other to the blend pot
( I’m guessing this is parallel mode)

The preamp has circuit boards attached to the pots
and the wires are supposed to be soldered to the boards
But there is no place to attach the secondary hot wire

How should I wire the pickups?

That doesn’t sound right. Parallel wiring needs two hots and two grounds, unless it’s hardwired in parallel, in which case there would only be one hot and one ground.

    Post a photo?

Put a meter on the leads and take resistance readings across each possible pair?

Another possibility is one hot and two grounds. The thick white wire could contain the signal hot from the pickup on the inner insulated wire, the signal ground on the shorter uninsulated wire, with the black wire used for connecting pickup shielding to ground. If that’s the case, then the black and the bare both go to ground, and the inner white goes to “In1” or “In2” on the Glockenklang balance control.

Won’t know for sure without a meter though. Or some trial and error perhaps.

    That makes sense
Have to get a meter and find out

Looks like you are right about those being ground wires
I found this wiring diagram for the bass, does that confirm they are grounds?

Not really. That diagram only shows two wires per pickup.

Are you sure those black wires are from the pickups?

The wiring diagram for the bass doesn't show the black wires so that would make sense that they from a grounding plate

Which means I can solder them together with the other grounds

    Thanks
