    Now that winter is almost over here in Canada, and summer is about to start....

    I was wondering what other bass players do to prepare/maintain, their instruments during the summer... hey what do you do in the winter too?

    I was considering purchasing a de-humidifier for my room. We don't have a/c, and it can get pretty stuffy. I'm sure that all that moisture can't be good for my basses (electric and upright). However, in the winter time I know also, that it can get too dry.

    Is there an optimal humidity level for electric and string basses?

    What humidifier/de-humidifier would you recommend?

    Just do whatever it takes to keep the humidity about 55%. also keep an eye on the temp.
