Does anyone know what kind of equipment the bassist on David Bowie's album Hunky Dory used?
I think his name is Trevor Border, I really like the sound on this album.

Right now I have a MIM Jazz going through an Acoustic 270 and a 410 Peavey Cab, Can someone give me some recomendations of some things I could get to sound similar (Donèt want an exact clone)

    thanks

Trevor played mostly short scale basses, pics from that period show him with a Gibson EB3 and a Fender Mustang. Amp? Who knows. He played with a pick most of the time.

  6. Most of the clips I've seen of Trevor from this period show's him playing fingerstyle, up at the neck, Geezer-style.
All the while in front of a Marshall stack about two foot taller than him.:)

  7. I really love that album and the sound of the rhythm section on it...
