I've noticed recently after switching back and forth between my basses that my Brice HXB-406 is rather lacking in the electronics department. Especially my G and high C strings. They sound rather thin. I'd like to put some new pickups in but I'm not sure how that would work, since they're passive/active pickups. If anyone has had any experience with these I'd be terribly glad if they shared some advice. Also would switching to flatwounds make any difference? I was kinda thinking it wouldn't but you never know. Thanks.
