"Hyper" Jazz bass

    I have often heard the term "Hyper" banded around when concerning high end Jazz basses, so my question is simple what does "Hyper" (in that context) actually mean?

    Something related to steroids and blowing everything else out of the water.

    I've never heard the term associated with a jazz bass. I've heard 'hotrodded' and 'modded', but never 'hyper'.
