    You're definitely not the only girl on here!

    Be patient. It often takes several hours for people to come across your thread and/or want to tackle the broad subject of general playing and music theory. Not only that but, as per the forum guidelines, people aren't going to answer your question because this is the new member/introduction section. This is just for saying hi. If you go the the instruction and/or technique sections, there are some "stickies" that show up at the very top of the page. They cover all the basic stuff.
