I need one that does a 4" string width. any suggestions? EMG will only go to 3.75" Thanks ...Tom
have a look at the thread 'seven string pickup question'
the same manufacturers can definitely do 6ers if they can do 7's!!
hope this helps.
Wow, thats a wide 6 string!!
It might not be the least expensive option but Norstrand can build you any width you want. He also now has a small CNC and can make custom wood covers to fit custom winds.
The customer wants it that wide. Seems a bit crazy to me too
Well, the customer is always right!!
Are you talking width or length? If width, that really is a wide pickup.
Width. He may give up and I'll make it as wide as the EMG will handle.
That's only about 20mm string spacing. Not that astronomical. That's the spacing on Warwick widenecks. It's hard to slap with less than about 18.5mm spacing.

That is what I was using as a model.
