In the VERY near future, I'm picking meself up a new 2006 Volkswagen GTI . I can't wait! WOOO!
I remember when I made friends with my fast, made friends with some cops shortly thereafter.
Is that the ride with the cool looking monster in the backseat?
Im guessing you wont be paying for it Cheers to your 'rents
AHA! I found him!
Just don't make friends with the Mod Bug, he'll bleed you dry...........
My very first car was a 1984 VW GTI. I loved that car. I consider that a great car for a responsible young man.
Once you get it, find a local SCCA club that holds autocross events. GTIs, even stock. are fun in the twisties. You're getting a manual transmission, right?
just don't put holes in the garage wall with this one.
I'd be interested to hear if they've finally taken care of their quality control issues. I've got a 2004 gti, and I'm just not satisfied with it. The first 7 days were pretty cool, but the mileage has gone down a bit, the turbo lag has gone up, the clutch fell apart (and I had to fight a bit to make sure they would cover it), etc. Of course, I could sink a bunch of money into it to raise performance, but I just don't want to.
I'm about ready to swear off VW, and to get a Volvo s40 t5 or an s60 R-series...wish in one hand, dookie in the other
+2 Milk 'em while you can man, I hear you're a great bassist, so you may get lucky and make money, but if you're like a lot of us...
That car is going to be with you for a good while once you graduate college.
I won't make backhanded comments about your parents money, cops or anything else.
All I say is, have fun, that car rocks.
And of course, Im very jealous. ><
Dibs on the old car.
I hate those dumb commercials.
Don't hold your breath...........
Nothing like a GTI man. I love my '89, hope you'll enjoy your '06 just as much!
Yeah, just stay away from the 16 model years in between
No, the new automatic tranny is amazing. 3 modes. Regular automatic, "sport" automatic which runs at higher RPMs, and Manual where you shift with the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Very cool feature!
I'm financing it, you arse . And watch yer mouth, it's what we're driving to texas in for NAMM.
