I am officially an award winning homebrewer!

  1. My Oktoberfest took first place in the European Amber Lager category at the E.T. Barnett Homebrew competition in Fox Alaska this past Saturday. It's not a huge competition, there were 74 total entries. There were 11 entries in the European Amber Lager category, with 5 other Oktoberfests and 5 Vienna Lagers. Still, I'm stoked! Prosit!

  2. Congrats! I just played a gig at Hill Farmstead brewery up here in VT...their "Festival of Farmhouse Ales"...talk about some stellar brews! They were named the best brewery in the world 2013 by ratebeer.com, and they had 8 of the top 10 best new beers in the world! Mmmmmm....is it to early to crack one open?

  6. Heck yeah, man! FWIW, a local brewery opened a couple weeks ago in my town and was started by a former homebrewer... 10 barrel system and the dude makes great beers. Keep perfecting those recipes and keep it up!

    Congrats!

So when do we get samples? It will take at least a 6 pack to really judge the beer...

  14. Awards are always cool. When you know your beers are good and a beer judge certifies this, it's a wonderful feeling.
