I got a monster bass yall...Lakland!

    I got a killer DJ5 in a trade here on TB the other day. I have had DJ5's before and they are great but this one is amazing. I got it with Bart Jazz 5 pickups and an East J Retro Preamp. This bass is simply amazing. I cannot get over how smoking this bass sounds. I love the DJ's and Barts and together with the J Retro, this is just a great combo. Will post pics if I can put it down long enough to snap a few!

    Yeah Laklands are my favorite too. I have a pretty special 55-94, and a really special '98 55-94 coming in August, so I know exactly how you feel. Please post pics for us, as I promise to post pics of my beautiful daughters when the 2nd one gets here. May the funk be with you!

    Any idea which barts are installed? IIRC there are several models of J bart pickups.

    Did you trade your USA 55-94 for this one? If so can you tell the difference between the USA's and the skylines. I was thinking about picking up a natural/maple 55-02

    It looks like a mirror pickguard, It's probably just reflecting the carpet in the last picture.

    My JO5 has the Barts/J-Retro combo and I totally dig it. Mine are 57's.
