After I opened the case, it took me about 15 minutes to calm down enough to pick it up. My hands were still shaking, so I went to set up my rig. When I played the first few notes, I started crying. It is the most unbelievable bass I have ever played.

That is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life. It easily rivals some of the prettiest landscapes and skies that I have been fortunate enought to witness. I wouldn't dare to touch that bass even if I were its owner.

  3. Man! Now I gotta go change my pants  :D

She shore is purdy, and she sounds half as good as she looks.. that'll be two pairs of pants ruined :D

  7. Uhh...there's nothing inherently better about passive basses. Sorry you're disappointed, but don't worry, I won't make you take my MTD.

    Very nice, FC. Congratulations.:)

What kind of top is that?

  12. Hey KONG, blueburst is my favourite colour, but I bet I'd sound like a real dip if I said that this finish is "okay with me".
The top is burl maple with an ash back, maple neck, and redwood fretboard.

  13.

    How much did that cost?

    AWESOME!!!

Last weekend I dragged my fiance to Bass Central and played about 5 different MTD's. She just never understood what I do about basses. At least now that she's actually felt and heard a 535, she has a basic understanding...enough of one to understand when I buy myself one:)

She even decided blueburst is HER favorite color:D

I better finish up school damned quick, or I may never get mine:eek:

Congrats, man!!! I love few basses, but your is definitely one that I do:D

That greenburst one is beautiful....what kind of bridge is that? I have one on my Zon, it doesn't have quick string releases, and I'd like to get one that does, I cannot find any info on what brand bridge it is....

Lordy, lordy, lordy. Did I say lordy? Man, what a beaut. I've been resisting the GAS lately, but this pretty much blows it for me. Congrats, man! Whooooo WEE!

Also, it's very tacky to ask how much it cost.

  20. very, very nice... i'd have to say MTD is probably the best damn bolt-on you will ever find. congrats..
