  1. Today i bought my first custom and first 5 string. Its an FBB custom #43.

    Specs as follows:
    5 string.
    Lacewood/flamed maple wave prototype top.
    Butternut(white walnut) back.
    7 piece maple/jatoba/beech neck.
    Indian rosewood fret board.
    34" scale.
    25 frets.
    Bartolini jazz pups.
    Aguilar OBP-1 Preamp.
    Chrome hardware.

I am exstatic with this bass, I can't say enough. Now that i have it home and i have been playing with it and set it up i can't put it down. The neck fits like a glove and it sounds amazing!

Thanks again goes to Hummingbird, a.k.a. Max for a smooth transaction and it was more than worth the 2.5 hour drive to get it.

And thanks to Matt of FBB for making a b*tchin bass.

Another fine example of the glory of the talkbass.com classifieds.:D
  2. here are the pics from the FBB site(note these pics have the bass with its original EMG set up). I'll get my pics up later.

Without a doubt the ugliest FBB I know of.

Which, really, is like being King of Boogers.

(Cool bass though. Gotta love the FBB, of which I am still in deathly need of.)
  4. How dare thee insult the king of boogers;)

Congrats on the new FBB, Nick! You can't put it down, huh? I know how you feel, I can't put mine down either (it makes replying to threads take forever ;) .) Enjoy!
  8. Hey Jason, i'm glad i am now part of the club! I remember the last time i was at the shop and your bass was still in production. That spalted top of yours is still one of the nicest i've seen.
