Hello to all, I just got my new Warwick Streamer LX 6 String. It is just amazing, playability, tone, everything is great. This bass is excellent, it is incredibly adjustable. The Mec pickups are Ok, but the 2 Band MEC Preamp has to go I think. It muddies up the tone when turning up the Bass Knob and gets too harsh with the treble knob. I think im going to put a Basslines system in there. Well, Overall I love this bass and Im very satisfied with it. Thanks to all who gave input on this model. This is how Ovangkol looks, see the difference with the Wenge Fretboard: And Finally Me:
now that's beautiful... I myself have a Corvette STD.. yes.. I'm cheap. I'm going to put in a couple bartoloni pups in there. You have the Warwick case as well, eh? Those fit beautifully.... *runs out of dumb things to say* *walks away with head hanging*
Yeah, I saw that you got a Curbow... Those are great, I tried one back in 96 , the action is awesome on those and the tone is extremely solid. Thanks.
Great bass you got there... I played one at Bass Central; really nice tone, pretty comfortable too, considering how huge they are. Nice choice! Enjoy.
Yes, it is very comfortable, I love to have curved back and top on my basses. I think thats a requirement if I ever get another one or go a custom way. Unless I get the urge for something classic or something that doesnt have the curved body, but so far, It is my favorite shape. It is huge compared to my smallish cort curbow, but it balances very well despite the huge neck.
Thanks! I havent done a full setup yet, but the bass came in an extremely playable way, I just had to tune it and It was ready to be tapped and slapped all the way. I had a slight high fret (the 13th fret at the C string) wich I corrected right away with my Ultra-Expert Luthierie Skills (Read BIG BRASS HAMMER... hehhe )
