i like the bass in the store and buy it. The n I take it home and the neck suddenly feels like baseball bat and it does not sound so great. This happened with my rockbass and a few guitars I have.

Next time that happens, just send 'em to me ;). I love baseball bat necks.
  3. Must be GAS
  4. yeah, it sounds like GAS was a factor.

did you test it with the same amp you have?
(not that the feel of the neck would be affected by the amp)

This is why I've adopted a policy of never buying an instrument the same day I try it. If I can't get it out of my head the next day or the day after I go back and try it again. If its still as nice as it was the first time, I take it home.

I've bought a lot less stuff since I adopted this policy.

I also have this policy, cause it's sensible. I also look around here and elsewhere to see what people generally think of the instrument I like.
  7. It would affect the feel of the neck if the amp had a blue light tho? that could be it :p

Yep, everyone knows that amps with red lights have the fastest necks. :eyebrow: :D
