i have a question

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by searchofdignity, Jan 28, 2002.

  1. I was wondering does the standard jazz bass have 3 knobs? just wondering because mine has 3 and there is no fender sticker on it. It must be a refurbished neck that they had to sacrifice the fender sticker. Well does it have 3 knobs?

The majority of "J"-style basses do have three controls: neck pickup volume, bridge pickup volume, and a master tone. Some early models and reissues may have two, but they use a concentric pot in which 2 control knobs are stacked together. Hope this helps.
  4. ok thankyou for clearing that for me. I have had a p-bass copy and a univox short scale so i really didn't know. Once again thanx
