For whatever reason, I felt compelled to own a Gibson. I saw this beauty at The Bassmint in KC and just had to have it. It will look great on stage with my new country/rock project! Thanks to Kurt for his kindness and attention. Now, to wait on the big brown truck!

There's a great method of self control that i use all the time, it comes in 3 steps

    1. Spend all cash
    2. Look in wallet
    3. Cry

    in Kansas City?

Where at in KC? I've been looking for a good bass store around here but I have had no avail.

What is their address? Does it have a website?

    Good looking bass btw.

Not my thing personally, but it looks like a really nice bass. Congrats!

Nice bass. Congrats! I love Les Pauls so you'd think Id have a Les Paul bass but no. If I get I ever get a Les Paul bass it has to pretty much be a Les Paul with a bass neck. In other words, the control layout, pups, bridge, switch, even the pickguard...all gotta be there identical to a Les. They are out there but I just look at the price and walk away dejected LOL

    Enjoy your gibson!!!!

Looks great! Enjoy, but something looks odd about that head stock. The photo angle maybe?

I had one exactly like that one, great bass. Heavy in sound and weight. Hope you have a strong back.:p

Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

Buy what makes you happy and then justify to your wife (or yourself!) why you "need it".:smug:

Nice bass though. The basic Gibson Les Pauls look like crap compared to yours. Looks like a quality $3500 LP Standard guitar. I really like it. I would get a similar bass but I can't use the LP or TBird kinda sound for what I am currently playing.

P.S. I just bought bass # 11 and #12 for my arsenal, so what the hell do I know about restraint!?!?:D
