Some years ago I had an ATK300 wich I believe was an incredible bass.

Served me well for years, but sold it when I moved to 6 strings.

I regret it.... So I was looking to have an ATK back.

I finally scored a USA Made ATK 4 String!! from a fellow talkbass member (fourstring44) on Ebay.

    here are the pics:

I gotta stop now. Im still expecting to receive my Ibanez SR506 (still paying it) , and I got this ATK too.

    Somebody´s gotta stop my G.A.S. ...
  2. very nice!
i am still going to own an ATK 405 within the next 50 years...

Nice. What's the "tension free" neck like?

    I dont know yet!!
I can speak for the ATK300, having played 5 and owned one...
But the USATK is all new to me, and will have to wait a couple of weeks before it gets here!
  8. Does ATK stand for something?

    ...just wondering. ;)

    Cool Bass.

How do you like the tension free neck? I had a Treker which has the same neck build as yours and just thought it never felt right.
    Good score though.

I am not a fan of Ibanez. But........

But I've always liked the whole ATK series. The Made in USA ones are exceptional instruments by any standards. Congratulations and enjoy!

I like the old 80s "Sting" Musicians also.

I want ATK really bad ... :bawl:
  15. Nice! whats the big difference between the USA models and the Korean ones? (other than the obvious finish, PG, neck inlays)

    Can i join, i've got a blue ATK400 en-route :D
  16. I believe ATK stands for Attack. I think when they were in production they were from the Attack series.

Enjoy! She looks awesome. Love the finish!!

    Congrats on your ATK !
Here's a pic of mine that I just got 2 weeks ago to keep my ATK300 company.Pearloid PG was badly warped so I'm having a b/w/b one copied from my ATK300.
  18. Nice. I was watching that one on ebay as well - almost put in my bid but ended up getting an Epifani instead :D

    I just received mine...
And I can say that altought it shares the tone pickup and electronics.. and some looks to the original ATk300... it is a different Animal..

It is more refined.. has a sleeker body, and plays... god.. it plays like any great bass.. feels extremely solid... and sounds.. BOOOM!

Another bassist who is a good friend of mine has two. I've played one of his. I was very impressed. He and I have pretty much oposite tastes in basses. But neither of us like Ibanez basses generally. But both of us love that bass.
