i spoke with Jim Bergantino several times before i ordered the 212.

i was on the fence between the 310 and the 212.

with the higher power rating of the 212, ad his comment that the 2 are more similar than dis-similar...i went with the 212.

we talked about my previous rig, an Eden WT400 and 210XLT and how the Bergantino would benefit me.

he had nice things to say about the Eden stuff, but he guaranteed i'd be amazed with the clarity and full range-like response of his cabs.

he even offered to have me drop it off at a local dealer to avoid shipping charges back to BASSNW if i wanted to trade it for the 310.

    fortunately, i don't want to!!!!!!!!

    the thing kicks!

i can hear myself now...the Eden rig buried everything in mud by comparison.

we'll see how it hangs at practice this sunday.

Interesting comments and exactly why I'm moving away from Eden and going with an EA iAMP 600 and Epifani T212 for my small/medium club dates. Especially with my Modulus Q6, I need more clarity than what the Eden WT400 and WT800 offer. Now I know why the high-end guys say the Eden stuff sounds "muffled."

Eden definitely can color your sound. I've gotten spoiled with my EA/ AMP BH-420 combination. It really seems to just amplifiy the sound of my basses, which is exactly what I want.

For example, if I turn down the volume at my MTD 625 and play it, it has a distinctive sound. When I turn up the volume, that sound comes through. Not scooped, not exaggerated.

Eden works if you like the Eden sound. I prefer the sound of my individual basses.

    or as someone once said....

interesting to see a move towards more transparent amplification.

yes, i spent some serious dough, but, this level of sophistacation and price point wasn't available 5 to 10 years ago.

    its a happy time.

makes me wonder about the NEXT 10 years.

    note to self:

although, i'm gonna refi my second mortgage, drop a couple of points in interest, pay off some old crap, cash out a bit, remodel the house...

    AND GET MY NEW ZON!!!!!!!!!!!

    haha hahahehehe hohohoho hehehehe...

stop me before i buy again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you like it Fred! The difference between my Eden and Bergantinos is not even close! How did you like the crossover and hi end on the Bergantino? Jim Bergantino has some special gumbo on his crossovers!

Well, if that Eden rig is just going to end up on the curb on garbage day, I SUPPOSE I could take it off your hands...
