I just won some Elixir Nanoweb Strings ..

  1. when I got home today, I found some Elixir Nanoweb strings on the floor.. when I felt them, the felt a bit slippy ... what sound do they give ? are they good for jazz/funk ??

    I dig 'em, YMMV. They sure last a long time, in any case.

    They sound like nickel roundwounds (because that's what they are), only with a little of the high metallic "sproing" taken off. And they do last forever. They totally RULE for fretless. I'm hooked; never use anything else.

    I just got a new set of the nano webs.
    I bought a set about a year ago and I thought they were ok. These new ones I got are incredible. I dont know if its just me or I got a bad set or what.
    These strings sounds awsome and last forever. I cant even understand why anyone would use anything else. Before I would kill a set of strings in a week. If it is a gig I would kill em that night. Now these things last for at least 6 months. Crazy.
