Definitely cant be answered. Its completely subjective.
  3. My FAVORITE, however, is my MIA passive Fender Jazz 5. I had a Warwick Thumb Bolt-on 4 that was also very slappable(imagine that).

No, I'd go with a MM.

  5. Victor Wooten prefers his custom Fodera PJ for slapping and his custom Fodera JJ for tapping, although he can slap and tap the stuffing out of just about ANYTHING.

Although I don't own one, every time I pick up a Music Man stingray is says "slap me". Since I am such a horrid tapper, most basses say "DON'T TAP ME, PLEASE!" :D

Although, I did once get some decent tapping out a Warwick streamer once (ONCE!) :)

Yes, it is a very subjective thing.

For me, a maple fretboad helps a lot, from there take your pick.

I mentioned in another topic that I like the sound of the Schecter Diamond Series Elite-5 - and the feel, too. What else is comparable to the feel of this bass and exceeds the tonal capabilities?

You might want to look into Ibanez's higher end.
