Say what you want about GC, but I love em!!!!!

James Hart bought a nice Peavey Tube head & he got me missing my SVT-2PRO and GASSing for a SVT-CL. I went out to GC in Queens to make my gas worse & play an SVT-CL & I plugged into it & I wanted it. I look up & there is an SVT-2PRO marked down to $399!!!!!!!!! I say to myself, "I betcha it dosen't work." Put it on, hit the standby & BAM!!!!!!!!!!!, tube goodness. It was a Demo floor model with the old red/blue logo & it includes the Ampeg Warranty.

I'm using it at rehearsal tonight to give it a good 2 hour testing.

Good thing is, I have a new set of Electro Harmionics tubes from my last SVT-2PRO that I have laying around at home.

You can score some great deals there - I got my SWR for $599, which I thought was a great deal, since they normally sell for twice that. I saw an SVT2Pro a while back for $499 (it was used, but still), but wasn't in a position to buy it.

    $399 for one, though!?!?

    That RULES - congrats

    An SVT-2PRO.

I did taht already. I bought one from Sam Ash a few years ago when they lost their Ampeg dealershio & I got it for $499.99 & eBayed it for $949. I miss the all tube goodness of my SVT-2.

We'll see after a few late night gigs how long I keep it, though. LOL ;)

Yea I'm starting to like GC more and more. I just got a new rig and I bought most of the stuff at GC. I got a Power Conditioner, QSC poweramp, rack case and some cables all new for $400. We got it all at (I am dead serious) 0% markup. It was crazy.

I almost scored a 400+ for $650 on ebay today but then someone jumped in with $736. Those things are too expensive for me!

If the weight is too much for your old weak back you should pass the savings on to your best customer. ;)

Oh man, I brought the amp to the rehearsal studio we (Theorem) go to & it absolutely kicked butt!!!!!! At the studio I ran it through 2 Hartke 410's & a 218 cab. This head should be renamed the God of Thunder.
