Been a huge fan of this guy for about a year. Love the stuff he does on the white fretless.
Now i need to practice... Forever.
I had a lesson with him last year - he is Dutch; a really nice guy.
He had only been playing about 7 years or something (at the time).
Oh... Ok then. Nuts to practice, that dude has pure talent.
What's his name? Curious about his work.
Remco Hendrix - real name.
Great stuff! Imagine what he could do with a boo-teek logo or exotic "tone woods".
He was sly last year - told me he had a deal with a maker out of Canada but couldn't say much else.
Hammersmith seems to be the deal.
Remco could make a broomstick and elastics sound good, I think.
...and yes, we're the new Canadian company he was talking about. Talkbass was a huge part of how Hammersmith came to be, actually. I agree with you that a boutique would look great in his hands too (we aren't doing an exclusive thing) and you should expect that at some point soon actually *cough*hint*
It's actually Remco Hendriks. The x part was never intended to stick, but it did. He's about to change it back to the real spelling of Hendriks.
For anyone interestred in seeing those freaky fingers in person, he will be at NAMM again in January (and possibly a few stops/cities afterwards).
Agreed. Posting this so others can easily groove to some genius.
One of my favorites. The change at 1:18 just takes off.
Remco is phenomenal, not just because of his technique, but also his style. He has a very distinct sound and style.
I like this one:
