There is a guy my father in law talked to today in the gym; he's wanting to get rid of a 1991 ford escort. The only thing that I know is wrong with it is the water pump is bad. For me, that's an easy job. So, hopefully the insurance won't be too expensive. This thing will be great for my pizza delivery job, since the gas mileage will be much better than my truck.

This thing will be a lot of fun, since the only thing I'll have to pay for is parts. Then I can do all sorts of fun stuff with it.

Change the timing belt while your there, since it drives the waterpump.

Also check for broken rear springs, and worn tie rods and ball joints. All are very common failures on Escorts.

Yep, timing belt is a must. My mom had a 91 for many years, and my sister has a 94. I'm pretty familiar with the escorts. Great little cars if they are taken care of properly.
