I don't get it. Yes, yes, I analytically grasp the concept of a club, and it's purpose, but why all of a sudden? Clubs everywhere the past few months. Did clubs become the new "it" thing after people got tired or the O RLY owls?

Its just the logical step from South Park Avatars. Much as those are lame, clubs are lame.

I won't let you bracket me, dammit!

  3. Uhm. Excuse me. You're not allowed to start a new thread until you join the "Thread Starters" club.

PM me for a number. ;)

  4. lets have a club for the people who wont join a club.

Somehow I feel the membership will be low.

I consider myself more of a wandering deity than just someone who posts on a message board.

I aim my sights considerably higher. So, even when the do come to a flaming, crashing halt, I'm still above par.

What I like most about the Fender MIA Club is that there are no obligations to do anything. That's it. No meetings, no nothing. Just be in the club.

Yeah, but there are no perks, no secret handshakes, no discounts at Stuckey's, nothing.

So much for a superiority complex.

Did I indicate where my place was? :)

  15. Oh, I don't know. I was a member of the JimmyM Sucks club a while back (probably a year or more). It was cool. We didn't just get numbers....we picked titles. I was the Special Activities Coordinator (or The SAC, for short). I feel like a grew a bit as a TB'er and even more as a person.

You can't truly realize your ability as an individual to contribute to society unless you've honed that special gift while in a microcosm of said society. The true joy and reward of joining a club is that special feeling you get from bonding with others who share a deep, meaningful love and attachment for the same things you do. Just ask Black Basses Rok!!! Member # 26.

Christ, man, do you name them? Something that unique needs a name. Can I call them Gilbert?
