can anyone recommend a cheap practice amp for under $100? the closer it is to $50 the better. how is the kustom KBA16? musicians friend has them for $50.

I have a Kustom KBA20 that I got a few years back for about $100. It works well for what it is: a cheap practice amp. I also run my synth through it and it sounds decent.

    The good things about it:
*I never have to turn the volume above 4 to get enough sound from it.
*The 4-band EQ is nice, especially when I plug in my synth.
*I've beat the crap out of it and it has handled everything I've dished out so far.
*The headphone jack is good for those times where you want to play silently.

    The bad thing:
*It doesn't handle ultra-low notes. I don't think a five string would work too well with it.

I don't know anything about the KBA16. I would suspect that it's a smaller version of what I have.
