I got a schecter bass with a mahogany body and active EQ
can anyone advise me if I fit a pair of musicman typepups will it get me roughly in the wal sound territory
I would have to mill out the holes so I need some reassurance

    You'd be better off buying a Peavey Millennium or a G&L L2000.

I don't get this plethora of "How can I sound like a WAL bass?" threads.

    Which WAL?

Every single recording of a WAL I've heard sounded so different that I'd be surprised if they shared any single characteristic. Geddy Lee, Percy Jones, Mick Karn, Justin Chancellor, the guy from Dire Straights... sorry, the only quality their basses share sonically is that they don't sound like a Fender.
