I need advice on a good head and speaker.

    I've had a combo amp for a while but I'm tired of putting in the headphones to get the good tone, so my dad and I are going to get my first real set up.

    So I'm looking for a good head and speaker. I'm willing to toss in about 100-200 bones, and my dad probably will be too (yeah I need to help pay). So I was curious if you guys had any suggestions. I don't have any real specifics. I play with high bass and I obviously would want the rumble as well as clear treble. Really just one of those deals that are "a bang for your buck" (personally like the Ibanez SRs).

    Suggestions (with links if possible) are greatly appreciated.

    I agree, then add a Gk 400rb head and you will be in good shape. Buy one from this forum or Ebay or Craigslist.

    Even if you can't get GC to ship to you for frww, they should be able to send it to your nearest CG for free.
