i need advice

hey i have a peavey millenium, its cheap but its sounds alright for slap. i was going to buy a ken smith but i cant afford it. I am looking for a good bass, and need advice of what kind of bass i should get. I found a peavey cirrus for 1,000. But im not sure if its for me, I really love the look and sound of a ken smith but the most i can pay right now is 1,000. I might get this peavey, please help me.
