Yeah, so it's a weird request.

Anyway, last summer I was given a mix cd with a song on it. I never knew what the song was, but I can't stop thinking about it. It sounded like a lot of ambient piano phrases that were looped, and the only lyric I could really make out was "look out". The vocalist whispered this and something else that sounded like it could have been "suicide" or "shoe shine" or something like that....

The music was somewhat reminiscent of Sigur Ros, Album Leaf, etc. The person who gave me the CD is really indie, but she couldn't remember what band it was.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

It sounds awesome. I mean I know a song is fantastic if I love it so much that I never look for that song or other songs from the artist and if the friend that gave it to me doesn't even remember the band. . . ;)

Perhaps you should do a Tenacious D style tribute song.

Oh and I voted "down". After all everyone knows that voting Blue is clearly a cry for attention.

Found it! I did some detective work (rummaging through songs in iTunes store)!

It's "Over the Pond" by Album Leaf.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some rain driving to catch up on.
