Yes, the natural finish one looks way better, IMO.
The black one looks terrible to me.
But all this is only a matter of taste.

Yeah Same here, IMO I would go for the Natural one. Though the Scratch plate wasn't too nice (but thats because i like plain) scratch plates).

Didn't the black OLPs come with black pearloid pickguards? That looked much better than the white one. But, from those two, I would also say natural.

  5. Agreed.

Natural is the way to go!

If it's strictly between those two, I like the looks of the natural better.
  11. That black one is the ugliest production bass I have ever seen. I say "production bass" because I have seen Wishnevskys.

The black one looks like a limp terd.
  13. I like the black one better. Look at them in person if you can-- to me, the natural (elm body) one doesn't look coherent because the neck and fretboard are a new fresh maple color--very light, almost a little pink, whereas the elm body is kind of greenish and the color kind of clashes. Also I don't like the tort pickguard with it. Also I really like matching headstocks. My .02 !

Anything with a tort pickguard should be burned. Nasty. I hate the natural one- go black.

    natural by far.

the black matching headstock looks weird with a light colored board like maple... looks cheap to me. i only like matching headstocks with very dark fingerboards, and even then they tend to look cheap to me.

    just my take on it.

    Black one

    I hate the natural one.
Because there's no flame or quilt or exoticness to it.

And get a black pickguard too.

I'm a person that just loves black basses. It is rare for me not to like a black bass, but I've got to vote for the natural one here.
