I have three...thats all. A precision, a jazz, a 5. This suits any and all possible situations I come across playing wise. But boy, I think I can use about a dozen more...

Hey, we're not unlike each other. :)

I have 3, two precisions and a jazz
  5. I had 3. I morphed it all into one "super jazz" I have a few less decisions to make in life now.

OK, I'll get in on this one.

    G&L SB-2
    G&L L2000
    Fender BG32 acoustic/electric

I'm sure that I'll eventually give in to G.A.S. but I feel like I've got it all covered......for now.

Let's take a step back and realize how stupid that sounds!:D

ONLY 3 basses! Don't get me wrong, I have 10 basses... but 20 years ago I had a Precision and a Gibson G3. 2 basses just in case one died on a gig. I would never have dreamed of buying another without selling/trading in one of the two.

Question for everyone out there..... Is this GAS thing a recent phenomenom or were there nuts 20-30 years ago that had 10 or even 20 basses?
  9. Well I have 6 basses but I only ever use three of them. 08 Jazz 5, Stingray 5, and a MTD 4 string. And thats all I need, Most of the time I'm just using the Jazz.

I only have two, a jazz and an Ibanez 5, but I want to have 3: 2 jazzes and a Stingray. I really don't see a need for the 5 with the way I play.
