I stoped into a local music store that I've never been to today. The guy who works there is very cool and I talked to him about guitars and basses for a long time. He even showed me this cool Les Paul he's working on. He then asked me if I like Jacksons. I said I like the looks of them (cause I always digged the "80's" looking basses) but I've never played one. He went to the back room and pulled out this black Jackson. He said it was quite heavy, which it was. It has the most kick butt tone though. I plugged it into a Genz Benz 410 cab and head. It was outfitted with 2 EMG. It have a very "piano" sound to it. It had the slap tone I've been dreaming of. It could cut through hardened mud if had to. I guess it was built in Jackson's custom shop. One of the workers at Jackson built it in his spare time. 300 bucks would buy the bass. Man I wish I had 300 bucks. I'm now a Jackson fan for sure.
