I recently pulled all the frets off my Squier P Bass and refinnished the neck. I could not be happier with the results.

(now lets see if these pictures wanna work)

I pulled out all the frets, sanded down the neck, filled the gaps, did a hell of a lot more sanding, painted the fret lines and a nifty little X thingy on the 12 fret, and then refinnished the whole thing. true, it doesn't look THAT great, probably could stand be sanded better, but hell, it's a squier and well... i just don't care. I think it cam out pretty cool.

so yeah, if i can do this, anyone can. i'm suprised to no end that this works as well as it does.

from the pictures you will notice that there is kind of this unnatural ugly glare off the neck in some places. this isn't as bad as the photos make it look, the flash isn't friendly to it. but the reason for this is that I haven't really sanded it as smoothly as I could. this is my beater bass, I have a MIM Jazz that I use most the time. you will also notice that it's just plain ugly, and yeah, i won't argue with that. but anyway.

i think i just used some kind of varnish or something. i'm not sure, my dad told me it would work so I was like "okay, why not".

I'm sure that anybody else could make this look so much better. but oh well, I like it.
