I agree, go with the USA one. I've heard the China ones can be sketchy, and if your teacher is selling it it's not like you're going to get ripped off.

  7. wow! someone else who listens to pinoy metal..
how are those guys doing these days?.. a guitarist i jammed with once went to school with the drummer.. well at least he said he did. did you ever get into Wolfgang tho? hot-damn that was an awesome filo metal band..

anyway.. someone else made a post about this.. he played a us version of the same amp in the store, liked it. and payed for it, but he got the chinese one .. im a lil stretched for time at the moment.. but if u do a search im sure it'll come up.

Did someone else own it before he did? You said he bought it in 1998. It's 2004. That's six years, bub. Also, I own a USA one and use it every day for home practice, and I've tried the Chinese ones -- go for the USA one. Seriously go for it. GREAT practice amp. Sounds faaaantastic for the price and size.

Peavey stuff is usually pretty much bulletproof. If the USA made one that your teacher is selling seems to be in good working order, buy it.
