Just got these... far left: Stambaugh singlecut fretless 5, Mahogany body, Cherrywood top, single Lane Poor with volume control only. Very simple, very sweet.

Far right: Elrick singlecut fretless 5, Bart J's and electronics, Ash with Spalted/Burl Maple top. Damn, this is nice.

Brad I've recently played a spalted fretless similar to yours, lufly. Not feeling hate just a 'how does he do it' (actually I know).

I almost went for that Stambaugh a while back, now I can enjoy it vicariously!

I guess you did OK. Does anyone ever say that to you, Brad?

I think it's usually more like, "MMMaaaahhgrgl," with foaming and frothing and a sort of glazed-over stupor...

Please don't say how much you got them for!

  12. So Brad, goin' another week without food, eh? Yeah, you know if you cut carbohydrates out of your diet right off, I'm sure you could afford a bubinga F-bass....

So I guess you won't be needing that Zon huh? I mean, I could take care of it. Don't want it to get jealous, right?

Hey! Nice basses! They almost look like the real thing. Oh yeah, didn't you hear about the sudden surge of boutique bass counterfiets? Yeah, they make 'em in the Samick factories. :D

  14. Brad, in 5 years, no one else in the world will have the ability to purchase a nice high-end BG, because you will own every last one.

    I'm switching to DB.

    :p

    Um...err...well...what can I say?

    Actually, I've played a single-cut Elrick...wonderful bass! I've also played a couple single-cut Stambaughs...also very fine instruments. The Benevente I haven't...

Anyway, fine selection, you've got there. And, yes...you've got good reason to hate yourself;) I sure do!:D

    Thanks, SMASH,
Actually I made a trade for the Elrick with someone I've dealt with before and Eddie B gave me a great deal on the Stambaugh. Look at Bassgear.com, folks. And Talkbass and eBay, etc.

Hey, if no one else is going to jump on these... ;)
