I ended up getting a NSJ5CM 5 string all maple USA BO, with EMG soapbar and jazz pups. It is really nice, right here in town. I wanted to get a NT, but I was striking out everywhere. This thing has nice growl and well defined notes. It sounds drier than my F Bass, more like my Warwick Thumb BO. I can't figure out the electronics yet. I just got it home.

way to go. the electronics are v/v/b/t. the volume for the humbucker is a push pull for humbucker or jazz. it's really cool.

I just put a set of Low Riders on it. WOW!!! A LOT more sizzle. The strings that were on it must have been dead nickels. They had good sound, but dull compared to SS strings.

It is dated 2-28-2003. So it was in the store for prolly 1.5 years.

I want a USA NT Spector soooooo badly! Heck, even a bolt on would rock. My two NS2000/5s rock my socks. Hopefully someday I'll be able to afford the real deal.

I was after the Chech 5 NT, a deal fell through, and I had played this bass every time I went into the store. (IT was there for almost 2 years) I took it home once and felt that it landed inbetween my F Bass and Warwick. I already had both, so why buy this one?, So when I was hell bent on the NT, this one was getting shipped back to Guitar Center, and I felt it was my duty and responsibility to save it from such a terrible fate, :rollno: so I just bought it. When I changed the strings to DR steels, WOW!! :hyper: This thing really sings!! It hass all the sustain and piano tone I will ever need, The notes are very crisp and defined and deep without being wooly. NOW, the trick is, I must avoid and NEVER TRY A NECK THRU. :)

We have an "Alice In Chains" tribute, and the Spector cops the sound amazingly. I can't wait to play out with it.

I just acquired a NS-JH5CM and it has some major balls to it. Looking foward to the next gig so I can put through it's paces.
