Alright, there are few things in the world of Hot Topic punk that interest me, except for the occasional funny T shirt in clearace or whatever. You know how they have those watches that are on a leather strap and have spikes so you can look Punk and tell time. Here's the thing, I know they exsist without Spikes, etc. I mean, I really like how they look, but the spikes are a bit much, not my bag.

Does anyone know where I can get one of those watches without huge spikes, etc?

I don't think I could get away with stealing from Hot Topic. The goths always keep on eye on me.

I've only been in there 3 times. I stay in there for about 4 minutes, become violently ill, then leave.

Hot Topic's website only have the spikey types, I was wondering if any place sells them not spikey. I know they exsist because I saw the guy from Dashboard confessional had one but I totally hate him... I just enjoy his tastes in watches.

A friend of mine worked at Hot Topic for a while, he told me that the :"security" devices at the doors, were actually just wood, placebo type deal, having them there discourages people from trying to steal.

I don't know if that's the case for every store, or maybe that day that he found that out, they just happened to be off, but he told me how he walked out of the store with some merch and nothing happened.

Hot Topic has some good shirts. I only by band shirts from there... They usually have an awsome Tool selection... and they started keeping Black Sabbath shirts in stock again, so that is a good thing.

Note to Self: Steal from Hot Topic... even things you don't need. You can sell them to Linkin Park fans for big bucks.

I noticed they look very fake.

Now I will share security information with you. When Walmart people page "Security Please Scan Section __________" it doesn't mean anything. It's to scare kids who they think are swiping stuff.

I'm so punk, I adhere to no "watch." It's a tool of the man, trying to keep me down, tying me to his oppressive schedule! Time is just an urban legend set forth by government propagandists to keep the working class from revolting.

    DAMN THE MAN!

Brendan, those words were way to big for any hot topic punker that i can think of.

  12. You cant buy from Hot topic and not be punk (according to my "non-sellout" friends). Its just simply impossible.

Holy crap, I just realized ive been on talkbass for over 5 hours. I should get off now.

    Dude... that's punk.

I'm doing the no watch thing which I kinda dig because when I'm at work, time goes faster because... I don't know what time it is.

But when my girlfriend says, "Pick me up at 7 and I'm nowhere near a clock... there's trouble."

So... anyone know where to find a NON SPIKEY Wide leather strap watch. (Not at Hot Topic... I checked... all spikey).

Damn, maybe that's why I become ill when I'm in hot topic. I always thought it was just thinking about selling Anarchy from a giant corperation. Or maybe it was the kids who spend 2 hours getting ready every day so all their spikes are just right and they have enough chains on their pants that hook their legs together.

Maybe it's because I'm not punk... which I'm not.

My sister's exboyfriend had one of those watches I'd ask him where he got it, but read the prefix to boyfriend :(

  16. oh yea while were on the subject of sharing security information about the stores we work at, Petsmart only has 2 real cameras, and theyre both overlooking the registers. All the other so called "cameras" you see (they look like the white half dome with a black hole in the middle) are fake, they are just big plastic half domes. Although I dont know why or what you would steal from Petsmart, "Dude I just jacked a hampster from Petsmart, but I almost got caught by those giant dome cameras on the roof"

Oh yea, why don't you buy a spikey watch and just take the spikes off?

  17. Yeah...I'd wear band shirts every day 5 days of the week(on the weekends...what I wear is classified:ninja: )

    But...they're so damn expensive!

20 bucks for a Mudvayne shirt....if it was 10,I'd consider it...I hate how they take advantage of trendy kids...bastards:D

    -Jon:oops:

  18. Why? What does wearing a band shirt do for you anyway?

*looks down and is wearing a pink floyd shirt*

Crap umm nevermind, do what you want *runs*

    Mike was joking.

Matt was too, obviously you can't be punk by wearing certain clothes, however, certain clothes are widely acknowledged as "punk" so, how is he going to get information about thse items without refering to them as they are widely acknowledged?

  20. I like to express my music-ality or whatever you call it:)

Plus...they got some pretty cool ones!:bassist:
