I was wondering if there were any people that play Gibson and/or Epiphone Les Paul basses. and I want to know how they sound and how they hold up.
    thanks,
    Billy

  2. I know that I'm trying to sell one. It's an Epiphone Les Paul bass. It sounds pretty good--just not what i'm looking for anymore.
It seems sturdy enough. It hasn't come to any harm yet.

They're durable, they sound OK, but are some of the neck heaviest basses ever made.

I hate them all EXCEPT the EXPLORER!!!!!!! I love the explorer, that bass is great, I absolutely love that bass! The black ones look great. I think the guy from System of a Down uses one.

  5. Not sure about Epis, but my experience is that Gibsons tend to be on the warm side of the tonal spectrum. Les Paul basses sound great, but the one I tried was the heaviest bass I'd ever laid my hands on.
