I want a 5 string that sounds like this

    I know, practice. It's all in the hands. But what instrument? Preferably 24 fret.

    Marcus Miller 5 string? What do you need 24 frets for? Is it that necessary? The farther you move from the design of the bass you are trying to emulate, the farther you will be from "that" sound.

    A jazz with new strings. Tight, evenly spaced notes.
     
  4. 5 String Fender Jazz.

    He is using and GK800RB in the video with what looks like GK Cabs. The recording could be direct of the DI though.

    That Amp and a Jazz Bass is a great combo with a Pair of 15's that was my rigs for years - only effect was a little compression.

    You should be able to get close with any decent Jazz bass-type bass and fresh roundwound strings.

    It's not a complex tone so I think it'd be easy on a lot of basses.

    And I didn't know Cohen played electric. That's pretty cool.

    That bass was mine, I sold it to Avishai about 7 years ago.
    Good luck finding a 5 string w/ that sound.
