The neck felt great, it sounded.... WOW.... Personally, I don't like Sea Foam Green but it had a mint green ("aged") pickguard & it looked great together.

I am disappointed in you, Nino.... you usually follow up "I went to Sadowsky's shop......" with "check out my latest toy!"

Cool Nino! I am going over to Roger's shop next Wednesday. Can't wait!

  9. Dang, I might fly up for that one. My PJ4 spalt should be ready around December.

And DM, I bet your bass playing is better than mine.
  10. Oh man, I love the transparent pickguard! It's so unique, why didja have to change it?

hmm.. did I just read that??

I dunno about my bass playing... it lacks too many things I don't even know where to start... best to ask Peter McFerrin and Nino.. they saw me play in shows etc... even though Nino saw me when I played bass for like a year and half.. now im up to 30 months of bass playing! w00t!

but yeah.. we can all bring down our gears.. and show it off to ppl... and take pics and post it on TB so everyone can drool and get jealous..

Oh wait.. did ppl see the last sentence?

Uh.. actually.. if we bring down our gears to show off... i dunno if Brooklyn is the best place

Very perceptive. ;) He couldn't do it right away because he was very backed up w/work he is trying to catch up on since the move. I put a picture in the post w/the clear pickguard because..... well I like to post pics of my basses. :):p

Take off the clear guard, carefully put some white contact paper on the back side, trim the edge with a razor blade, and voila! white pickguard.

    So let's see, you've built a bass, but you can't replace a pickguard? :D

    Am I missing something here:confused:

    I think it's called "tinkering"! :)

I'm having Roger put a clear pickguard on my Vintage 5 next week.

You see, Sadowskys are just so sweet that they can go out in an elegant mint green or white and also get a little naughty with a see thru acrylic. ;)

I need to take a break from the PC.....
