Not a bad price assuming that business at the nut on the A and D string is not a problem. Looks like it's been played a bit (not necessarily a bad thing). BTW, "won" is probably not the right term for being the high bidder on EBay. Basically, you chose to offer more than the other bidders so you bought the bass for a price acceptable to the seller. Not sure how that amounts to "winning." Not trying to rain on your parade, however, bro. EB 'Rays are great basses and you'll probably dig it mucho. Congrats.
I bought my last two basses via Ebay, and am extremely happy with both - Especially my Stingray 5. Seems Stingrays are almost always available on Ebay at good prices.
well, i have a few questions. i like it...but there are many scratches and some bubbling in the finish. i buffed it out w/ meguillars car wax and it improved this greatly. the one thing that i dont like is that neck is finished w/ a lacquer or something. did ernie ball originally finish their necks? one of things i really like about stingrays is the unfinished maple neck. they always have a nice grain and they play fast. anyone know? erik
sounds like something that some really fine steel wool could fix. make sure to cover up the pickups first, unless you want to scrape little steel bits out of your pickups for months.
