I wonder what would happen if more bass players took the time to be a little more open minded to other bass players, concepts, ideas, style(s),music etc We are all entitled to our opinions. But I hear more fellow bass bashing lately than ever before. If you don't like what you hear from another bass player, there really is no need to bash that bassist. If you don't like what you hear, you just don't like it.That simple. It could be a lot of reasons a bass player doesn't like a particular song from another bass player or maybe none of that particular bass players work at all. I think for the most part these critics are jaded and snobs and if it's not what they are sub consciously use to hearing, then it doesn't work. Maybe if the haters took the time, to listen a little more closely and learn to practice understanding, that the bass player that's at the focus of their latest hate campaign ,just simply may have a voice that's a little different from yours. Ever crossed your mind that you might learn something?
